Bluetooth in proximity marketing

What Is Bluetooth?

Long live the king!

Bluetooth is an electronic protocol named after King Harald "Bluetooth" Gormson. Harald is regarded as having united (if temporarily) Denmark, Norway, and Sweden under a single king – hence the relevance, as bluetooth is designed to allow electronic devices to communicate more easily.

Bluetooth is the primary transmission medium used for Proximity Marketing. The process of bluetooth based Proximity Marketing involves setting up the ICTS™ System at a particular location and then sending information which can be text, images, audio or video to bluetooth enabled devices within range of the ICTS™ System. Other standard data exchange formats such as a vCard can be used.
